Weequahic High School Untermann Stadium Ribbon Cutting

Congratulations to the Newark Board of Education and all stakeholders on the unveiling of Weequahic High School’s newly renovated Untermann Stadium and Field! SCE is proud to have been the selected design Consultant on this project providing engineering, surveying, permitting, landscape architecture, and construction oversight services for the synthetic turf field and track improvements and related site and drainage updates. This project involved the replacement of the previously installed synthetic turf field with updated drainage and surfacing for a multi-purpose synthetic turf field, renovation of the existing track and field event runways and high jump areas, improved site drainage, site accessibility into the stadium area, and replacement of the scoreboard.
