SCE is a full-service civil engineering firm with an extensive array of experience and expertise in representing municipal and county Clients. Our corporate goal is to provide our Clients with a full scope of services that will eliminate unnecessary outsourcing of services. Our broad, in-house, professional range of services eliminates downtime, potential project confusion and misunderstandings. SCE has the ability, knowledge and capabilities to work as an integral part of a Project Team to orchestrate professional services to meet our Clients’ needs.

SCE has been actively representing local and county governmental agencies throughout region for nearly 35 years. SCE’s professional staff of numerous licensed Professional Engineers (PE) and Professional Planners (PP) also includes several Certified Municipal Engineers (CME), Certified Floodplain Managers (CFM) and Licensed Landscape Architects (LLA) dedicated to providing exceptional service to the municipalities we represent.

Our services range from securing special project designs to multi-year appointments. Serving as the Municipal, Water / Wastewater, Planning Board, Zoning Board of Adjustment and Special Projects Engineer in various municipalities, our duties include an array of services including technical guidance for all governmental departments.

Specifically, we are experienced in providing design services for all types of municipal infrastructure projects such as New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) Local Aid roadway rehabilitations, streetscapes, sanitary sewer rehabilitations, drainage upgrades and recreation facilities. We are experienced in providing assistance to Department of Public Works (DPW) associated with facility improvements, from evaluation of existing structures to designing entire sites including composting and recycling facilities. Facility projects that have been completed in the past have included salt storage buildings, maintenance garages, weigh scales, fuel depots and structural repair of buildings.

Funding Description

SCE is a capable firm that seeks practical solutions for our Clients. An additional benefit we offer Clients, is our significant understanding and successful experience in securing millions of dollars through the New Jersey Infrastructure Bank (NJIB). Our firm is closely aligned with NJIB funding programs and their administration and is currently the engineer of record on 22 active I-Bank funded projects. Our team of professionals have successfully completed design, bid and construction of projects addressing CSO Permit requirements with sewer separation and green infrastructure projects.

Additionally, our team can assist in obtaining available funding to recoup engineering planning and design costs incurred to date on their Long-Term Control Plan efforts and ensure a successful bid and construction period for each project.

SCE is here to assist and maximize all funding and grants available to our Clients. SCE will provide the consulting services necessary to secure financial assistance through the New Jersey Infrastructure Bank’s (NJIB) low interest state financing program. It is SCE’s intent to qualify any project, if application, as a Clean Water project under the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) and NJIB guidelines.
