NJDEP announced on May 25, 2022, that through emergency rulemaking it will expand the flood hazard permitting and stormwater requirements, as associated with the Flood Hazard Area Control Act Rules (NJAC 7:13 et seq). The emergency rules are intended for adoption mid-June. However, permittees are encouraged to have administratively complete applications submitted no later than Friday, June 10, 2022 to be subject to the current rules.
