Accredited Green Infrastructure Presentation Course

Date: May 13, 2021

Being a leader in the industry, SCE assembled a presentation overviewing the NEW Stormwater Management Rules and how Green Infrastructure can be incorporated into your municipality. This presentation was reviewed and approved for accreditation through both the NJ Department of Community Affairs and NJ State Board of Architects.

SCE presented the amendments recently adopted to the New Jerseys Stormwater Management Rules. These amendments go into effect March 2, 2021. Within these amendments, Green Infrastructure is required to meet ground water recharge, stormwater runoff quality and stormwater runoff standards. SCE then reviewed the steps municipalities should be taking prior to the March 2, 2021 deadline to ensure their municipality is following the new amendments. Next, SCE reviewed what Green Infrastructure is and what site enhancements can be implemented including some examples of SCE’s own Green Infrastructure Projects. Lastly, SCE presented the funding options that are available to all municipalities to assist them with these required improvements.
