Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc., (SCE) is a civil engineering, municipal engineering, environmental science, land surveying and planning firm providing quality, state-of-the-art professional services. The clients served include local, county and state governments and their agencies, utility authorities, businesses and individuals. The firm was formed in 1986 and presently has offices in the Towns of Mt. Arlington, Morris County and Annandale, Hunterdon County.
The firm maintains a qualified full-time professional staff that includes; Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, Planners, Certified Municipal Engineers and Environmental Scientists. This professional staff is supported by highly competent technical and administrative personnel with extensive experience in their areas of expertise. To provide our clients quality, cost-effective services SCE has and will continue to invest in its state-of-the-art computers and engineering and surveying software. Typical software includes: AutoCAD for automated design and drafting; Eagle Point Design Series for surveying and base map preparation, roadway, site plans, grading, drainage and other design tasks; AutoDesk World and ESRI's ArcView, geographical information systems (G.I.S.); Haestad's PondPack and WaterCAD; HEC RAS for flood plain analysis, and other industry-recognized programs for engineering design.
Principals of the firm have extensive national recognition as experts in the applications of piping materials in waterworks, sanitary and storm sewer uses and actively provide consulting and inspection services on projects throughout the United States.
Members of the firm are involved in national and local professional associations such as American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), American Water Works Association (AWWA), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), Water Environment Federation (WEF), Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), New Jersey Society of Municipal Engineers (NJSME), American Public Works Association (APWA), Public Works Association of NJ (PWANJ), American Congress on Surveying and Mapping (ACSM), and New Jersey Society of Professional Land Surveyors (NJSPLS). Principals of the firm currently serve on committees that develop national standards for ASTM and AWWA. |
