For the first time ever, the City of Passaic held a Playground Build Day from October 3-5, 2015 at Christopher Columbus Park where 250+ volunteers came together and built from scratch, a new playground for the community children! SCE was significantly involved in this event from its onset with City from preparing design plans, performing stakeout services, being an event sponsor and sending several employee volunteers day of to help assist with the construction of the new playground! The project received high media attention from being on the Today Show and the appearance of several newspapers reporters on build day. SCE enjoyed being a part of such a special event and monumental experience for the entire City of Passaic and looks forward to the use of this one-of-a-kind playground by playground activists and community members.
